Mounting Hardware No good

The mounting hardware is useless, the long anchors didn't fit the long screws it came with. I had to use toggle bolts and/or other drywall anchors and drill my own holes. The inside is not white, it's kinda purple-ish.

White?

Had this fitted into our new family bathroom, it looks great and just big enough for tooth brushes, paste, a glass etc etc. However as everyone has asked me, why is the interior a lilac colour? Bizarre, but functional!
